Photoshop’s new AI Generative Fill is already blowing minds

Firefly has all the features we’ve come to love from generative tools like text-to-image, image-to-image, 3D model-to-image, image recoloring, and image extension. Specializes in high-quality text-to-image generation, and has recently added a powerful generative fill functionality. In other words, that bench we’ve created above cannot be copied and pasted on its own to another part of the image, as the surrounding area will also be duplicated. It also isn’t possible (at least yet) to have the AI insert another identical object elsewhere. Each time you ask the AI to create an object, you’ll get a different result. Click the arrows to cycle through these three options, or click the Generate button again to have the AI create three more.

You can rationalize all you want about bug fixes or new features you never dreamed of and thus did not need. I know young people who’s monthly subscription costs are crazy but they’ve grown up with subscriptions and take for granted bills once a month, forever. It also offers various generative features for other applications, including Adobe Illustrator’s Generative Recolor. Adobe says they’ll be coming to Photoshop and other apps as they’re ready. The Creative Cloud membership now includes a couple of extra applications, including Adobe Express Premium and Adobe Firefly.

Adobe tries to be sneaking and install Creative Cloud on my computer when downloading updated managers, I have the prepaid Photoshop. So, I just remove the update manager completely don’t need it. And if you were so smart you would have invested in Adobe years ago and made some real money so you wouldn’t have had to worry about small subscriptions fees.

And you can use those credits for any Firefly-powered feature in any of the apps you use. You’re not limited to using those 500 credits from the photography plan in just Photoshop or Lightroom. Adobe’s Firefly generative AI was trained on Adobe’s own library of stock images, as well as other licensed and public domain images.

Prompting in Adobe Firefly is much different than Dall-e and Midjourney. Learn the ins and outs of Adobe’s new generative AI so you can create beautiful images. Generative Fill is now supported by Adobe’s Firefly family of creative generative AI models, allowing users to enlarge photos and add or delete objects easily. The beta version of the Adobe Photoshop graphics editor has received a new AI tool that allows users to use text input to scale images and add or remove objects. The feature is called Generative Fill and is based on Firefly’s generative AI models for working with images. The web application will be available through Creative Cloud, at the Express and Express Premium price points, as well as the free tier. Paid users will also gain access to the full paid version of Express Premium.
